Metalphoto® Process for Durable Nameplates

The Metalphoto® process is ideal for creating durable, high-resolution nameplates, labels, and control panels through a photosensitive process. This technique utilizes photosensitive anodized aluminum to capture precise images or texts.

In the Metalphoto® process, a sheet of photosensitive anodized aluminum is exposed to light, hardening the exposed areas to create an image or text based on the photographic negative or digital file. Unexposed areas are washed away, and the piece is sealed, encapsulating the image within the aluminum’s anodic layer, ensuring its resistance to fading, abrasion, and environmental damage. The resulting product, typically in shades of black or gray against aluminum’s natural color, boasts remarkable durability against harsh conditions.

Ideal for sectors requiring resilient and legible markings, such as military, aerospace, and industrial applications, Metalphoto® is favored for its ability to produce detailed graphics and withstand extreme environments. It supports various applications, including anti-counterfeit features, barcodes, and serialized information, offering a solution that combines clarity with long-lasting durability.
