Custom Warning Labels

Custom Warning Labels

Nameplates Division creates custom warning labels that are compliant with The American National Safety Institute (ANSI). The ANSI requires that all warning labels should carry clear and concise messages that warn of hazards associated with certain equipment and areas. These labels are used to improve safety in the workplace by reducing the possibility of injuries associated with hazardous equipment. Nameplates Division creates ANSI compliant custom warning labels that meet the size and header requirements of our customers.

Warning labels include a header that describes the level of danger associated with using a piece of equipment. These headers include danger, warning, and caution. Danger headers indicate the use of specific equipment that may cause serious injuries or even death. Warning headers alert users of hazards that can cause serious injuries but not necessarily death. Caution headers tell of hazards that may cause minor injuries when care is not exercised.

These plastic or metal warning labels can be made using a variety of materials and are produced using a detailed and durable marking process. These labels should be highly visible, easy to read, and are made with strict and precise manufacturing methods. Call us to learn more about creating ANSI compliant custom warning labels today!

FAQs for Custom Warning Labels

For the highest level of durability, we recommend using aluminum or stainless steel for warning labels and nameplates. For a non-metallic option, polyester and polycarbonate can be used. Less durable materials such as paper and stickers should not be used for warning labels.

Warning labels should be cleaned with a light detergent or mild surface cleaner and rag or squeegee.

ANSI Z535.4 defines the information that should be contained in the message panel, the use of proper safety symbols, colors, fonts, and legibility characteristics.

A warning label can be replaced by scraping the old label off utilizing a scraping tool and adhesive remover.  They should be replaced if they are cracked, faded or not fully legible.
